In 2009, 7 cover appearances were enough to claim first place. In 2008, the most depicted model, Kate Moss, needed 10 covers, in 2007 Jessica, Sasha and Coco won with 9 covers each.

Daria Werbowy needed just 2 covers more to claim 3rd place for "achAT's VOGUE cover model of the decade 2000-2009". Daria had 41 VOGUE covers in the 2000s, most of them for Vogue Hellas (6).

Sasha Pivovarova clearly had the most VOGUE covers of the last three years (2007-2009): 23 covers. All in all Sasha had 30 VOGUE covers.

Kate Moss is 2nd best "achAT's VOGUE cover database model". For this ranking all known VOGUE covers are counted. Kate has 79 covers just like Linda Evangelista and needed just 2 more to claim number one spot currently held by Gisele Bündchen. Kate is 3rd in "achAT's VOGUE cover model of the decade 2000-2009" (43 covers).

Natalia Vodianova comes 2nd for VOGUE covers of the decade (53 covers) and 2nd for VOGUE covers 2007-2009 (19 covers). And she's 5th database model (53 covers).

Gisele Bündchen had just 3 VOGUE covers in 2009, but she's clear winner of "achAT's VOGUE cover model of the decade 2000-2009": 68 covers! Gisele is also "achAT's VOGUE cover database model number one": 81 covers!

• Kate Moss was achAT's Vogue cover model 2008 with 10 covers.
• In the first 6 months of this year she didn't turn up with a cover, but in the second half of 2009 she already graced 4 Vogue covers. In achAT's Vogue cover model race 2009 she's now ranked 2nd.
• All in all Kate Moss had 78 Vogue covers so far, 28 for Vogue UK, 11 for Vogue Paris.
• Her recent cover for Vogue Russia is her 3rd country cover.

Rules for counting covers:

• Only regular Vogue covers count for my statistics, supplements don't! In case of Vogue Italia this matter can be very tricky. On my (visual) indices supplements may be shown however.
• Appearances of two or more models on one cover count as one cover for each model.
• In case of foldout covers it doesn't matter whether the model is shown on the front page or on the inner page(s).
  
• Multiple covers for one country in one single month (such as Kate Moss for Vogue Paris Dec. 2005) count as one cover for this month only.
• No differentiation original cover - reprinted cover (same cover in different countries). Both count as separate model covers.
• Collages (such as UK 12/2006 or Deutsch 6/1995) don't count for a model cover. The Oct. 1994 cover for Vogue Italia (30 models) doesn't count either (too many models).
  
• No Vogue Homme or similar.

• Cate graces the September covers of Vogue Australia - there are 4 different covers with Cate to celebrate VA's 50th anniversary.
• With 5 covers Cate ranks 3rd in achAT's Vogue cover statistics for Australia. (Note: only one entry for September 2009!)
  
• achAT's Vogue cover model of the 2000's : Cate had 12 Vogue covers and ranks 30th in the overall statistics, but 2nd in a celebrity ranking - only Nicole Kidman had more covers (21 covers) although 11 of them were reprinted covers. Counting only unique covers Cate is first celebrity with 11 original covers vs. Nicole with 10.
  
• Cate's first Vogue cover was for Australia's May 1999 issue, the only one before millennium, so she had 13 Vogue covers all in all.
